What is Notary Public?

For most UK certification issues a solicitor attestation or certification of documents is sufficient but for documents to be used in foreign jurisdictions (e.g, USA, Dubai, China), a Notary Lawyer is often essential when it comes to certification of personal or company documentation.

Our Associate Solicitor here at H&S offers notary public services to commercial clients and individuals. Also ‘Hague Convention’ apostille and Embassy stamping can be arranged for documents that require these additional procedures after notary certification has been completed. All documents are speedily and personally taken by hand to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) for the ‘Apostille Stamp to be applied and our Notary team attend daily the various Embassy venues in London for Consular matters.

Our notary public’s notary work is separate to his other work because two distinct and seperate bodies regulate the two professions; the Solicitors Regulatory Authority deals with solicitor regulation and the Faculty Office based here in London supervises and regulates Notaries in England & Wales, see the Regulator’s official website at www.facultyoffice.org.uk

An appointment is always required and you are requested to contact the Notary directly:
